- Hello dear friends and welcome.Wow, today is the first day of March! It seems Christmas was only yesterday and now spring is at the doorstep. Honestly, I can hardly wait.We haven't been on any travel adventures since we are still settling in after the big move last fall.In early December I met with two special friends for lunch, Jenna from The Painted Apron and Ricki Jill from The Sketchy Reader. We get together every December to celebrate birthdays and Christmas. This year we met at a boutique restaurant in Mountain Brook. I love going there for the whimsical decor and their art gallery featuring work from local artist.
Of course while in the neighborhood, I always visit a favorite spot to see what's new and stock-up on favorites. A visit to Trader Joe's, a must!Miss Courtney will carry lots of flowers!
Are you already decorating for spring? I would love to hear.......

Emily, I'm ready for spring too! Lots to do in the garden after our severe winter, but I'm slowly making progress. It makes me smile to think of you and Jenna and Ricki Jill having lunch and chatting away. One day I just might join you girls! Trader Joe's is my favorite go to place for flowers. I was there this week and came home with beautiful pink tulips growing in pots. Instant container gardening! Happy Spring, sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteHappy March Emily! I am loving our warmer weather and seeing things start to bloom! I always love our lunches, and the Grand Bohemian is such a special place~ of course Trader Joe's is a treasure trove, especially for flowers! I enjoyed my virtual shopping trip with you, time to bring out the bunnies! Let's get together again soon! ❤️

How fun to get together with Ricki Jill, Jenna and yourself. So great you live close to get together.
ReplyDeleteTrader Joes always has fabulous flowers. The Easter and spring decor is so cute. i love browsing the stores for cute items. Love the Paris sign and that pillow. Happy March Emily.
I am currently in Ohio and there are signs of spring, but back home it is still snowing!! I am envious that you girls meet up with your totes and have a chatty lunch - so lucky to live near each other! Trader Joe's is also a fun stop for me - I love their cheeses! Happy March!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy our lunches with you and Jenna so, so much. Y'all are the very sweetest! I have not been out shopping much lately, and I do need to get out there for a little spring inspiration. Thanks for sharing all the pretties you've seen out and about. The pillow you shared looks like you. I hope you bought it! I also like the bunny. It would be so cute, especially on a covered patio tablescape. Happy Spring, Sweet Friend!
ReplyDeleteEmily, I know exactly how you feel in trying to continuously settle into your new home. Just today I was searching for a cord (!) for a portable drive that I knew I had packed somewhere....was it with small electronics, cords and cables, my old desk stuff......
ReplyDeleteThe retail therapy is such a welcome complement in trying to lean into not only a new season, but especially a new home. I home you took one of those lovelies home (like the pillow with tassels!). Your lunch dates with RJ and Jenna are something I love most. What a way to grow our friendships and love of mutual interests, like MacKenzie-Childs. Happy March!
How special that you, Jenna, and Ricki Jill celebrate every December. I was in Birmingham yesterday and had to visit Trader Joe’s. Spring has definitely come to NE AL! Happy March, Emily!
ReplyDeleteI am ready for spring as well. I am glad you were able to connect with friends. Now I am off to visit.
ReplyDeleteOk, I want an eating area like that in my back yard. That whimsical furniture is so me! What a fun place to gather for lunch. We love Trader Joe's. They are now my go to place for charcuterie boards. What fun items you saw shopping. That purse really caught my eye, and what lovely pillows. I agree, Christmas just happened, but hopefully now with March spring will be on the way. We haven't stopped snowing in huge amounts all of February.
ReplyDeleteI love to hear how the Alabama girls meet up for lunch! That is so special and keeps you connected. I need to make a visit to Trader Joe’s and see what pretty flowers and seasonal items they have in. Happy March, Emily!
ReplyDeleteEmily, Yes, all of us are reading for spring and it has sprung in south Alabama. The azaleas are blooming and the bridal wreath and forsythia.
ReplyDeleteI loved hearing about your get together in Birmingham in December. Looks like a very neat place for lunch and Trader Joe's is always a treat for me.
I love all your pics from shopping. Great to catch up. Happy Thursday.
Lylou
There's so much to do in Birmingham. I'm spending more time there this year and will have to get in touch with you sometime. Happy Springtime days to you! - Leslie Anne
ReplyDeleteOh, those bunnies! I pretty much have all of winter down apart from one (kind of big) thing and expect the bunnies and such to come out by the weekend. I find it almost impossible to believe that we are in March! Isn't the flower selection at TJ's the best? I don't always get any because it's over an hour home and usually we're at the kids' first. But if they ever finish the TJ they are building in our city, I think I'll be a weekly customer!
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet photos. Nice to see you celebrating the beginning of spring in such style.
