- Tales of The Traveling Tote and a Giveaway
Welcome to another adventure of the Tales of the Traveling Tote. This is where my fellow Traveling Tote friends and I share our latest travels, projects and our most current events. You will have an opportunity to visit other members at the end of this post and learn about our giveaway.
Wow, it's hard to believe today is the first day of December! I am behind with my usual schedule of decorating by the first. We haven't been on any travel adventures this past year but we have been really busy at The French Hutch. Today, we are all about enjoying the beautiful autumn season and a little Christmas shopping. - Shopping at a local farmer's market downtown is always a great opportunity for a walk on Tuscaloosa's Riverwalk.
- The Black Warrior River runs along Riverwalk, turning and twisting paths under the trees. The perfect place
- for enjoying a little nature.
- Miss Courtney Childs has been helpful doing heavy duty work

How fun that Miss Courtney Childs gets to enjoy the shops with you, and looks quite happy amongst the flowers and Christmas gifts. As far as how and when I decorate for Christmas, I usually wait until the first week of December to decorate the tree in the sunroom. It's an artificial flocked tree, and I love the snow on the branches. I usually put up three trees if I am hosting a Christmas party but we haven't gotten back into large gatherings at this time. Happy Holidays Emily! So glad that you, Jenna and RJ got together for coffee.
ReplyDeleteI want to spend a day shopping with you!! I saw so many items I would love to put into my tote, especially the trees on a disc of wood! Your tote is always busy scooting around town. Wish I could join you and Jenna and RJ for lunch! Enjoy the season.
ReplyDeletehi Emily! I loved this virtual shopping trip!! All those very tempting Christmas ornaments and decorations! I love those deer topiaries, too cute! The Riverwalk is so lovely, how nice to have that close by to stroll around...I do hope you're feeling a little more settled after your big move, I hope you and Jim can relax a little and enjoy the holidays. It was so much fun to grab a quick coffee and hit TJ's with you and Ricki Jill, I can't wait for our birthday lunch next week!

Emily, I know how busy you've been, more than you've even noted here. It's nice that you've been able to at least take a few short trips to enjoy a little retail therapy. I have had a recent fetish with Christmas trees, and many of those pictured here caught my eye! The Highland Nutcracker almost came home with me this year too, but I resisted. Your dining room is a beautiful showcase of your collections. Your Juliska and M-C (not to mention your Quimper), I am continuously enthralled with your style and styling. Lucky you to be able to spend time with Jenna and Ricki Jill! I'm especially happy for the reunion this year for you three. Happy December!
ReplyDeleteI am happy to see all the lovely activities you and Miss Courtney Childs have been busy doing together. Visiting the Riverwalk in Tuscaloosa is always a fun idea, and I can see that Miss Courtney has been working hard for you, helping you with your autumn decor and fluffing for Christmas! I love the beautiful Christmas vignettes you've shared on this post: It's just what I need to encourage me to finish decorating our home! I am running so far behind. I love the pretty ornaments and Christmas trees! I am sooooo looking forward to celebrating your birthday (and Jenna's, too!) with y'all :D It will be a great day!
ReplyDeleteHi Emily! It was nice to see a post from you and to tour and shop with you. How wonderful for you, Jenna and Ricki Jill to get together. Happy December! 🎄❤️🎄
ReplyDeleteEmily, I want to tag along and shop that nursery! How cute are the reindeer topiaries! Love seeing all the special spots where you shop. And I totally agree about our bags. They are the best for toting all kinds of things. Even dogies who tag along!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see your tree. It's always extra special. Did you add any of those gorgeous ornaments? I'm impressed that you already have your tree up and decorated.
Happy Holidays and Happy Birthday, December girl!
Lovely shopping adventures. The river walk looks like a wonderful place to visit. I always admire your collections. Your dining room looks so beautiful decked out for fall. Miss Courtney has been busy carrying all of those goodies. The nursery is amazing. Love the showpieces. A pretty place to shop. A pleasure visiting Emily. Happy holidays.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you've managed to do anything with your move or go anywhere, either! Love each and every photo -- your photos are always the best. That river walk looks special -- really lovely and loads of fun -- and I loved all the shops you shared. It's so good to see a post from you! (And a little envious of your lunch with RJ and Jenna!) Happy December!
ReplyDeleteCoucou Emily,

Emily, I enjoyed shopping through your eyes. I used to shop in Tuscaloosa when our son was at the university. Your vignettes are always perfect. Merry December!
