This morning was such a nice morning, around 71 early this morning. I need to replace a few of the shrubs lost this year to the extremely cold winter so I have a good excuse to go to Lowe's garden center. Not only did they have shrubbery but the beautiful bedding plants for spring are in.
If you need a little inspiration to know spring is only around the corner just take a look at all the possibilities!
So many varieties of roses to choose from
I always choose hydrangeas for container planting for the veranda
I hope you found a little or a lot of inspiration here today for spring planting. Today I chose lavender to come home with me. I'm sure we'll have more cold weather, so these will be inside until it is safe to plant, usually in April.
Thanks for stopping by. I read and enjoy all of your comments so I hope you will leave one, it's the only way I know you were here.
Congratulations to Pam on winning your great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteEmily, you have a great Lowes. Those bird baths are so cute! Flowers look healthy too.
I can't wait to plant, but you're right! We need to wait until after April 15th. I can't wait to be able to play in the garden and plant! I want to plant more containers than last year, too. Thanks for your inspiration. You should go back and purchase one of the cute birdbaths! :D
ReplyDeleteOh wow! Our Lowe's isn't stocked yet, but I keep stalking it. :) congratulations to Pam!
ReplyDeleteA special thank you, Emily and to all of the Traveling Tote ladies for the luggage tag. I know I will enjoy. Your Lowes is already well stocked with beautiful plants. The bird baths are so cute.. I need to check with my Lowes to see if they are stocked for spring planting. Wishing you a wonderful Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Pam! You have inspired me with your photos from Lowes. Do your hydrangeas overwinter in pots or do you toss them at the end of the season?
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Pam, she will be thrilled! She loves to travel and will put the luggage tag to good use! After last week I was itching for flowers, but here we go, back to cold temps this weekend...I'm sure you were very tempted by all those beautiful flowers, and the bird baths are adorable! Stay safe and dry this week~

Congrats to Pam! I love when I know the winner! Thank you for all the gorgeous eye candy. We can't start planting for another couple of weeks and I am counting the minutes!! Have a wonderful week, Emily!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Pam, and thank you, Emily for these beautiful bursts of color on this rather cold, white day! I absolutely cannot wait till spring. We can't really put things in the ground (most years) till Memorial Day or maybe May 15. But I hope to get some things started in pots I can bring in at night till it's warm enough to leave them out! Fingers crossed. Gorgeous, every photo!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Pam! Those birdbaths are darling, Emily. Thanks for sharing all the pretty flowers. I’m looking forward to sprucing up my yard, but we still have cold temperatures. I wonder if hydrangeas in pots would do well on my patio?
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Pam, she is always traveling. Love the birdbaths, especially the one with the bunny. Beautiful spring color. I love looking at plants and flowers. A lovely post to welcome spring in.
ReplyDeleteOh, how wonderful your garden looks!

Congratulations to Pam! Emily, thanks for the flower inspiration! I am so ready for spring!!! We are back in wool sweaters and sitting by a fire. This is highly unusual for March in Austin. Darling little birdbaths. I have a vintage birdbath that was at our first home and brought with us when we moved to our current home. I enjoy watching the constant visitors taking a dip.
