Celebrating Blogger Day
Did you know today, Wednesday August 5 is Blogger Day? One of a few dates celebrating at different times in different places.
Blogging is a great way to express yourself and write about your favorite topics. Or, maybe you just want to share your passion for travel, photography, table settings, cooking and baking. Whatever you enjoy Blogger has the platform for you to share what you love. Mine just happen to be all of the above and then some. It is also a way for like-minded bloggers to connect with others who share the same interest. Blogger writers usually write from a personal perspective which allows readers to connect. It is amazing how this platform brings bloggers together in friendship. Personally, I have been fortunate to meet many of my readers.
In my opinion Blogger Day should be celebrated everyday! Can you imagine not having favorite blogs pop into our mailboxes? Certainly not!
So let's celebrate and blog today!
Because we are not entertaining or dining out here at The French Hutch, I have decided to dress it up a notch everyday, from dining casually to a little prettier for dinner. It is fun to set a simple table for two using some of my favorite dishes. I just pull things off the hutch or out of the cabinet and set a pretty table for two. Here is a recent setting when I thought to take a few photographs.
My small ginger jar from Juliska filled with flowers from the farmer's market.....
(yes, I do wear a mask and go at opening when only a few customers are there. An open air market and always safety first)

Love your post. Happy Blogger Day.
ReplyDeleteOh Emily, what a fun post!! I am so happy I started blogging, I never dreamed how many ways it would add to my life! I must tell you when I first saw your photos I thought they were from a store! Omg, you have so many pretties! Two MKC servers, swoon! I love Juliska, but don't own a single piece...my daughter has some and she loves it. Such a happy post and your table and hutch are breathtaking!

I had no idea! Happy Blogger Day! Love your pretty table -- the blue and white is a favorite and with those colorful zinnias for a super pop of color, fabulous! I always love seeing your French Hutch, Emily. It's so pretty! Take care and have a lovely evening.
ReplyDeleteEmily - you are so right about celebrating Blogger Day - it has certainly enriched my life in many ways! Your table is so pretty - I have no blue in my home, so i need to remember that when I am out shopping!!! Pretty flowers, too!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogger Day to one of my very favorite bloggers! I love all your pretties. Everything looks so pretty together. I love the linen placemats. Please email the name of the Etsy store you purchased them from.
ReplyDeleteI will celebrate right along with you, Emily! :D
Happy bloggers day. It slipped up on me
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogger Day Emily! I echo your sentiments and enjoyed seeing your pretty collection. I'm so glad you are playing with your pretties. I am celebrating too, and am so grateful our paths have crossed. Blogging is the best, and so are you!
ReplyDeleteYour table looks so pretty, Emily! Your jar filled with fresh flowers is the perfect centerpiece. I love those tiny boxwoods, too. The ruffled linen placemats are beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Bloggers Day! Somehow I get your posts emailed the day after you post. 💙
Emily, Happy Blogger Day! It was through our blogs that we met and because of our shared love and passion for Quimper, MacKenzie-Childs, Juiska, and oh so many other things, that we have become real life friends. I look back with joy on the times we have shared at QCI annual meetings, especially our trip to Nice. We have enjoyed some fun times in beautiful spots. I love visiting your blog and seeing snippets of your charming home. Everything is always welcoming and beautiully done. I've been keeping a table set for two as well, changing it weekly. Why not?
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogger Day!! Just seeing your pretty things brightened my day. Blue and White is just my favorite.
ReplyDeleteEmily, What a treat to read your post today! No, I did not know August 5th was Blogger DaY!
ReplyDeleteI love your tablescape and beautiful centerpiece. The Juliska vase is gorgeous and the zinnias from the Farmers Market are, too. Those napkins are amazing and the china pattern and the circular placemats are just lovely. With your awesome china cabinet as a backdrop you photo looks like a magazine shoot.
Happy Blogger day Emily. Your Quimper is gorgeous. I adore your collections. The table is so pretty. So special we have actually met in person through blogging. I feel fortunate to be in the group and sharing with our tote sisters/ xo
