A Valentine's Series

Tea for Two

Valentine's Day is such a sweet day, no pun intended. I do love to set a table or create a vignette to enjoy the first two weeks of February.

I pulled a few favorite things I haven't used in a while to set a tea for two. Part of a Laura Ashley collection I collected in the 1980's.

I have several tea sets in their various patterns. This pattern is "Alice."
My sweet husband visited the Laura Ashley shop often to select gifts. The four demitasse cups and saucers are a gift from a dear friend. The three tiered stand is a gift from my sweet sister years ago. I've used it often for Valentine's Day and for Christmas. I do love how the red from the cake stand looks with the pink from the china. I always have a centerpiece on the island so this is perfect for February.

Would you prefer coffee or tea? I  also baked my favorite red plum jam bread.  Do help yourself. Let's sit and enjoy a visit to celebrate friendship.

I do appreciate your visits and enjoy reading your comments. It's the only way I know you stopped by.

Isn't this is sweetest throw pillow!

Wow, Valentine's Day is only a week away!

  3. What a beautiful vignette for Valentine’s Day, Emily. I love your Laura Ashley dishes and your pretty tiered stand. Don’t we love reminders of those who gifted us the gifts? I’d love to join you for a slice of plum bread and a cup of tea, please. That pillow’s message is perfect! ❤️

  5. Thank you! I'll have the tea please, and a small piece of the plum jam bread (so I don't feel quite so embarrassed if I ask for another!) I adore your table. Paris, pink, pretty -- what's not to love?

  6. Emily, this is all so pretty! I would love to join you for tea! The Laura Ashley tea service is charming. I've fond memories of shopping the Laura Ashley store in London, standing in line to check out, only to see a friend from Austin doing the same. Small world!!! Love the sweet florals that Laura Ashley created!
I wish I had space to keep out a tiered tray for decor. I'm thinking in the new remodel I will try to plan for a specific counter top spot for a tiered tray.
Happy Valentine's Day to you and Jim!
