I finally decided how I wanted to set my Thanksgiving table. I am setting six place settings not sure how many guests we'll have. I am sure I will have to either add more or possibly remove some. I like to get a head start on setting everything up so I have more time to enjoy baking and preparing our traditional favorites.
I wanted to use my Juliska in the Flint pattern. I love this color for autumn and Thanksgiving. I have been purchasing a few pieces here and there as I found them marked down. I have a few pieces of blue, so I am using those as well.
For my centerpiece I wanted use what I have so I my collection of velvet pumpkins was an easy choice. Cascading out of one of my favorite blue containers all this centerpiece needed was to add a little faux fall foliage.
I sprinkled in a few acorn ornaments
Napkins are natural linen from Pottery Barn
The charger is Juliska Main House
Hammered look glass charger
Dinner plate is Main House
Salad plate
The Conservatory
On the side board the large urn, medium pitcher and small urn.
If you are still here, thank you! I hope you will leave a comment, it's the only way I know you stopped by.
Emily, your table is very inviting and I love the addition of your favorite blue containers. I am torn between using a tablecloth on my table this year, and showing the beautiful wood. Will you add a cloth? Happy Thanksgiving to you and Jim. xo
ReplyDeleteDeb, I love using tablecloths but for Thanksgiving I love letting the cherrywood show. I will dress up the table with a solid white cloth for Christmas. It is a hard decision and I'm sure which you decide to do it be beautiful.
DeleteEmily, I like your blue and grey combo with the festive orange centerpiece highlights! I only have red and oranges in the Country Estate Juliska dishes, and I'll probably use the orange for either breakfast or dessert. I recently used the orange for a fall dinner with friends. I love this pattern, with all the structures and the little details which differ on each piece. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! They will all appreciate this beautiful table. Linda
ReplyDeleteBeautiful collection of the Juliska, Emily. However many are gathered round your table, I hope your Thanksgiving is a joyful time with family. xo
Gros bisous,
Lylou

Emily, your guests will feel welcomed and special dining at this table. I hope you have a table full of family and friends. M and I talked about Thanksgiving yesterday. I hope to set a table for two and have him there, but where we fine, our hearts will be full of gratitude.
ReplyDeleteYou know we are twins in so many ways. The Juluska Manor House is still a favorite in any color. Your table looks gorgeous! Happy Thanksgiving!

ReplyDeleteYou have such a flair for setting a lovely and welcoming table - these dishes are so unique and unfamiliar to me. Hope you enjoy Thanksgiving! We are off to Virginia for a week
ReplyDeleteI love seeing a pretty table. You chose well!!
ReplyDeleteI love all the orange pumpkins, offset by the occasional green or tan pumpkin. The colors and texture of the pumpkins really stand out against the predominantly neutral plates and table. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteWow, Emily your table is beautiful! I adore your Juliska dishes. They are gorgeous. The napkins are so elegant and your velvet pumpkins and lovely blue and white urn are all so pretty. Pretty faux fall leaves and acorn make your table so festive.

Oh Emily, this is just gorgeous. I've never seen this pattern. I can see why you were drawn to it, for it is very beautiful. And I really do love how the soft colors work so well for Thanksgiving. The velvet pumpkins are the perfect touch for a warm but very elegant table. I send you all good wishes for a beautiful Thanksgiving. I know your family and guests will be well cared for.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, I'm making your veggie soup today, I think! Can't wait!
