FALL DECOR

Fall Inspiration

Are you ready? Whether or not, it's here! I went to Birmingham recently to meet sweet friends for lunch and had time for a little shopping first. I wanted to pop into one of my favorite shops, Pottery Barn, to check out their sale items. I ran head on into full blown fall decor! I did get lucky, I'll tell you later what I found.
Here's a little of the inspiration I found.

Using a lot of lanterns again this year

I really do like the bark candles

Love the colors in this pattern and of course grayish white looks great for fall

Great faux fall stems and pumpkins

These beautiful hanging lanterns are calling my name!

Candles, outdoor lanterns and pottery are plentiful in my storage cabinets already, I just need to pull them out. So, what did I find on sale? Marked down in the clearance section, a new brass lantern for the foyer, two faux fur pillow covers and a cozy new throw. I'm slowly adding a few new fall looks this week even though it is 100 degrees outside! I'll share the changes with you soon.
Thanks for stopping in. I hope you will leave a comment, it's the only way I know you stopped by.

Happy Fall Decorating!

  3. Thanks for the trip to Pottery Barn Emily, it is much safer for me to not enter the store 😂 It is hard not to be in full fall mode when you visit stores right now even if it is 100! I can't wait to see your fur pillows and new throw, and I do need to dust off my lantern and put it to use! Thank you for the inspirations!

  5. It's so hard not to want to push the season, ESPECIALLY given those high temps! We have a welcome rainy day today, so long ago since having one. I love seeing the inspiration now that it's late August, esp like the faux fig branches at PB. I've changed a couple pillows & added a throw, but am still mostly just trying to put finishing touches on wall decor here in the loft, not necessarily fall decorating. Have a great weekend playing with your new things!

  6. I always love seeing the pretty vignettes at PB. I’ve pulled out my sunflower decor, but can’t think about Fall yet with our high temperatures, too, Emily. I look forward to seeing your purchases that you found on clearance. Don’t we love sales? I hope you have a lovely weekend! 😘

  7. Great pictures of new accessories at Pottery Barn. Although I'm weary of the heat and yearn for autumn I can't get into fall decor yet. I'm always slow to change.
Look forward to seeing your new purchases.

  8. I'm trendy and I didn't know it! I have lanterns and bark candles that can't quit -- the candles are for here at the cottage but now I might have to bring one or two home! It's a lovely post with beautiful photos and yes, filled with autumn inspiration!

  9. Although I adore Fall, I never want to rush the seasons. Even winter, because that just means I’m that much closer to kicking the bucket lol.

As for me and Fall decorating, this year I’m doing something I’ve never done before which is actually changing the rugs in the living room and sitting room. It wasn’t planned but I found lovely ‘summer’ rugs that I couldn’t resist. I don’t usually do much for the seasons though other than change very few accessories, but admittedly Pottery Barn makes it difficult;).

    Happy Fall ❤️
