A VALENTINE'S SERIES

Valentine's Day Tablescape Fun

 Azalea topiary centerpiece

Even though we will be going out for Valentine's dinner I wanted to set a table and play with dishes for Valentine's Day. I found theses wonderful heart plates half price and saved them to use for Valentine's Day.  I only have two each of MacKenzie-Childs dinner and salad plates and  I wanted to set a table for four. I needed to find a way to stretch my settings for a tablescape. I love pinks and reds so I pulled four charges from Johnson Bros. to use as a base. Two settings I used doilies and salad plates and two using dinner plates. I was really pleased with how the table looks.

I used Johnson Bros. Britain Pink Castles chargers for the touch of pink in the stack

My sweet sister sent me a package with sweet treats. She knows how I love to add them to the French Hutch for a shop look.  The box came after this table was finished so I added the Margarita lollipops to the base of the centerpiece for a fun look (and soon to be treat). The strawberry lollipop is on the hutch.

Thanks "I"

MacKenzie-Childs red napkins with black and white trim. So pretty

J'adore.
Très belle fête de Saint-Valentin, gros bisous.

  5. Emily, your table is full of romantic details for you and your sweetheart. Of course, the CC heart plates are making my heart beat widly. They are top of my list, so someday I hope to add two or four. How lucky to have found them half off. Mixing the CC with the red transfer ware makes a pretty statement, and all the hearts add a romantic touch. The azelea topiary is gorgeous. I bought two white ones last spring. They have done well, and are blooming again right now. I was surprised because they are on their third bloom. Happy Valentine's Day!

  9. Oh, Emily, such a pretty, pretty table! I love how the red Johns Bros charger plates look as a base to the Courtly Check! And the doilies used too (hehe, if I hadn't used all mine for my Valentine). This is so very pretty. All your hearts, and not to mention that outstanding azalea topiary - what joy!
Even among all the purge activity, I started pulling a few things out to create another table. I'm just waiting for the weather (i.e., sunshine) to inspire me more. Your table would be a lovely thing to enjoy even beyond yesterday's holiday. Have a great weekend.

  12. What a pretty tablescape! Love the plate combo you came up with and all the heart accents. The champagne bucket with the azalea is beautiful and I like the cocktail and margharita candies inserted in there! I keep wanting to buy some MacKenzie Childs plates like that but always get stopped at the price. What I should do is buy a couple here and there so it doesn’t seem so overwhelming. I hope you had a lovely Valentine’s Day!
