Wishing everyone a happy Fourth of July!
I am so thankful I live in a country where freedom rings. Happy and thankful to be an American!
May your day be full of celebrations. Wishing all of my friends a wonderful day......
America the Beautiful
Hymn Lyrics
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
O beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern impassion'd stress
A thorough fare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness.
America! America!
God mend thine ev'ry flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law.
O beautiful for heroes prov'd
In liberating strife,
Who more than self their country loved,
And mercy more than life.
America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness,
And ev'ry gain divine.
O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears.
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea.
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
O beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern impassion'd stress
A thorough fare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness.
America! America!
God mend thine ev'ry flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law.
O beautiful for heroes prov'd
In liberating strife,
Who more than self their country loved,
And mercy more than life.
America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness,
And ev'ry gain divine.
O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears.
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea.
Beautiful and full of spirit, Emily! Happy Fourth to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteNot only do I love patriotic things, but I love the colors of our flag to the point I have to be careful not to overdo the red-white-and blue in my house for fear of looking like the White House! Happy Independence Day to you!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tribute to America!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful red, white, and blue! Hope your fourth was festive. We had a quite rainy day, but that was just fine with us. We need the rain, and the relief from the heat is beyond wonderful! Happy July, sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed the 4th....great pics, love the waterlogged app!
ReplyDeleteThis is always my favorite song on the 4th. She is beautiful, isn't she? Always so grateful.
ReplyDeleteOff to catch up on what I've missed here. I just couldn't keep up on instagram. Guess once a blogger. ;)

Hi Emily, you created beautiful patriotic centerpieces for the 4th. Cute pillow on the bench and the cupcakes were mostly likely enjoyed by all. Nothing like living in the USA and having such freedom. PS: Our daughter and family left for Europe today. They are going to London, Paris, then on to Greece for a two week trip.
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful post, I am late for the event but send my greetings just the same, I just found your blog today on a friends blog list and i'm so glad I have, I have been reading your past posts and have joined to follow along,, the black background shows off your amazing photographs so well! Best wishes from Canada!
ReplyDeleteA very happy th of July patriotic post, Emily! Our celebration was a quiet one this year as our county in Colorado has a fire ban in effect, due to hot and dry weather conditions, and no fireworks were allowed.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post Emily! Like you, I am thankful to live in a country where freedom rings. Hope you had a wonderful day!
