Finding Fall
Spending Labor Day with my sister in Atlanta we found time to check out the weekend sales. What I found was fall has arrived in all the shops! Here are a few photos I made while chasing the big weekend sales.
Pumpkin Patch
I love these velvet pumpkins with a touch of glitz
Pumpkins colors of gold, green and orange
Tablescapes
Loved this MacKenzie-Childs pillow
And lots of pumpkins
Labor Day weekend is the unofficial end of summer. I enjoy making fall vignettes in my kitchen and setting a table with a fall theme. I would love to hear what you do to celebrate the fall season. I love your comments and it's the only way I know you stopped by. So, do tell, how do you celebrate fall?
Emily, congratulations to Anne's Attic.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing all the fall inspiration. I'll be bringing out my velvet pumpkins this next week and adding a few other touches of fall around the house. No real pumpkins in sight yet here, but I suspect we will begin to see pumpkin stands before the end of the month. Love the paisley napkins. Do you remember where these were?
hi Emily, what a fun and fabulous fall romp your post is! I LOVE the photo of those gorgeous leaves! Did you load up on fall goodies and sparkly pumpkins? Now that we're basically living at the beach I was worried about how I was ever going to bring fall to the beach, but it's been a fun challenge. Yesterday I went to Old Time Pottery and had a blast, I found all kinds of goodies :) What a fun weekend, shopping with your sister in Atlanta-

Oh my, look at that gorgeous header, and all these beautiful fall colors. This is my favorite season we're about to enter. Labor Day has marked farewell to summer for years now in our home. Love this post, Emily. And I cannot believe I missed your AMAZING giveaway. Congratulations to Anne.
ReplyDeletePS You inspire me so much, dear friend, and tempt me to open my comments again. Every now and then I need a little break. You remind me of all the good things I loved about blogging. xo
Your photos are always a treat to look at. I really can't get into Fall yet, but I guess I have started thinking about it -- wishful thinking, that is. I see photos of beautiful cozy interiors and great Fall clothes -- but I guess we certainly won't be doing it very soon here in Alabama. That last photo is ART.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Jo at Anne's Attic! I hope she enjoys her MacKenzie-Childs items as much as we enjoy celebrating our love of all things MC!
ReplyDeleteI'm dreaming of fall tablescapes, but first had to spend a day putting away all the cool blues and greens of my summer textiles and glass, and rotate my autumn accessories into my sunroom. That puts me in the mood to better create and get ready, even though it's still hot as blue blazes outside! I was sweating bullets yesterday trying to select a couple pumpkins at the farmer's market!
Glad you enjoyed shopping in Atlanta and how nice to have a good visit with your sister.
ReplyDeleteCute MC pumpkins. I like the velvet and gilded pumpkins ,too. Is the fall tablescape from Pottery Barn? I think the paisley napkins with copper napkin rings look very nice.
Thanks, Emily. It was fun to see some fall things featured in the stores.
Have a great weekend. My daughter and family are coming to our house this weekend so I have lots to do.
Such beautiful things Emily! Love the velvet pumpkins :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Anne! I'm jealous :).
Oh Emily, I'm not at all ready to welcome fall -- but this post is doing its best to get me there. All so very beautiful, it's hard to determine which photo I love most!
ReplyDeleteLots to love in this post! Thanks for all the inspiration. I brought some apples out this week, and I'll start bringing out the pumpkins later this month.
ReplyDeleteI love velvet pumpkins! :)
Congrats to your winner!
I add texture and deeper colors to my home and visit family to share the season. Happy Autumn!
ReplyDeleteI'd enjoy a trip to Atlanta right about now! Thank you for sharing your inspirations and fall vignettes with us.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your winner.
ReplyDeleteI don't do alot of fall decos...too much to take out, put up and then take down for Christmas...a few pumpkins and a few wreaths...
Your fall decorations are inspiring!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnn
Emily, I'm thrilled you showed us some fall inspiration! I brought out the paisley napkins and rattan chargers this week, and fall colors are my favorite. But no pumpkins yet! LOL
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Jo at Anne's Attic! I hope she enjoys her MacKenzie-Childs items as much as we do!
So much Autumn beauty here. I do love seeing the MC. In my future I hope to get the dinner bell. :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Jo!!
Emily, You are so lucky to have your sister as a shopping buddy! I love the Pottery Barn table and I picked up those pumpkin dishes recently with a coupon! Celebrating fall means picking apples and drinking apple cider, and I add pumpkins to all my porches and even indoors. I change my outdoor pots from summer flowers to grasses and mums and add a few scarecrows, indoors and out! Linda
ReplyDeleteThese wonderful touches of fall are so inspiring!
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday, Emily. I must say that I have thoroughly enjoyed tagging along as you shopped while visiting your sister. I definitely would have snagged those paisley napkins. They are beautiful, and I have a thing for paisley.
ReplyDeleteThis post is being featured on my Pink Saturday post this week as "the one with the most clicks". Thank you for sharing and making Pink Saturday special.♥
Looks like a fun shopping trip, Emily. I love those velvet pumpkins with bling. I may try sticking some bling on some of mine. What a gorgeous tablescape, and of course, the M-C pumpkins always appeal to me. Thank you for taking us shopping with you.
ReplyDeleteYou must have had a blast shopping with your sister, Emily. What beautiful Fall displays! Love all those different kinds of pumpkins....Christine
ReplyDeleteOooooo, those checkered pumpkins, now that is a statement! Emily, bonjour! I love your orange theme here...typically, it's not a color I use but this time of year, it's so happy and refreshing. I am finding however, that we here are stuck between summer and the IDEA of fall; it's been warmer than usual, so I just can't get into any decorating, but I'd love to!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for coming to visit me. Yeah, I am not blogging as much these days; blogging has changed, many have stopped, and with work (teaching French), there is so much to do. Thank you however, for visiting and for acknowledging my Instagram page. Happy fall! Anita
