HAPPY EASTER

Wishing all of my friends a wonderful Easter and Happy Passover

Jim and I are celebrating Easter with my sister and brother-in-law in Atlanta. I love the centerpiece that graces her table, a jar filled with decorated eggs. These eggs were blown,  designed, decoupaged and decorated over several years by my sister's dear friend Cammie. This sweet young girl lost her life to cancer. The eggs were gifted to my sister from Cammie's mother.

My sister's favorite coconut cake, topped with edible grass and jelly beans.

Best wishes for a beautiful holiday.

  12. This is fabulous, Emily. I love how your sister displayed the eggs -- it gives me a good idea for next year. This year there was no time to put up all the egg trees (and not that much space) so the eggs ended up in a crystal bowl on the coffee table -- pretty, but the ones on the bottom get short shrift! This is especially beautiful and all the more so since it is such a special way to remember Cammie (who was very talented!) Love the sweet cake, too! Your Easter looks lovely!
