Wishing all of my friends a wonderful Easter and Happy Passover
Jim and I are celebrating Easter with my sister and brother-in-law in Atlanta. I love the centerpiece that graces her table, a jar filled with decorated eggs. These eggs were blown, designed, decoupaged and decorated over several years by my sister's dear friend Cammie. This sweet young girl lost her life to cancer. The eggs were gifted to my sister from Cammie's mother.

My sister's favorite coconut cake, topped with edible grass and jelly beans.
Best wishes for a beautiful holiday.
Happy and blessed Easter to you and your family. Thise eggs are just gorgeous, and how special for your sister to have them in her care and keeping.

ReplyDeleteEmily, Those eggs are so pretty .. such a sad story about how they came to be :( I hope you had a nice Easter Sunday. The cake looks festive and delicious. I like that edible grass! xxL
ReplyDeleteThe eggs are exquisite, and how lovely that Cammie's mother shared them with your sister. Glad you had a wonderful holiday!
ReplyDeleteWhat a tender remembrance of your sister's friend, Cammie. And what a generous gift from Cammie's mother. Wishing you all of the Lord's promised gifts of the spirit during this Easter season.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a nice time with your family.
ReplyDeleteCammie's hand painted Easter Eggs are exquisite! The way your sister displayed them was very beautiful, and a wonderful remembrance of Cammie. It sound slike you had a wonderful Easter, Emily, with your family. Happy Spring!
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous, Emily. I love how your sister displayed the eggs -- it gives me a good idea for next year. This year there was no time to put up all the egg trees (and not that much space) so the eggs ended up in a crystal bowl on the coffee table -- pretty, but the ones on the bottom get short shrift! This is especially beautiful and all the more so since it is such a special way to remember Cammie (who was very talented!) Love the sweet cake, too! Your Easter looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteHow very beautiful, Emily. The centerpiece is full of love...and life. What a special way to honor a friend. Thank you for sharing with us.
ReplyDeleteHope you and your loved ones had a lovely Easter.
