“Once Upon A Time”
Oh those dear sweet words! Do they bring you back to your childhood, stories you read as a child or stories you read to your own children?
I collect Peter Rabbit figurines, music boxes and books. I have “The Peter Rabbit Library” by Beatrix Potter. The illustrations are beautiful and of course these are the stories we all remember and love.
Today I have called all my little friends together to help me decorate for spring and Easter. For my table centerpiece in the kitchen I am using a thin grape-vine wreath with pastel colored roses and adding a few of my little friends. A few peeps and Easter cookies decorate the hutch.
Here are a few of my favorites from this collection.
Fierce Bad Rabbit
Mrs. Flopsy Bunny

ReplyDeleteHappy Easter.
It is so nice to have a good collection of things you enjoy. I cannot say that I remember Beatrix Potter as I had never heard of her while growing up in Paris – she was British, wasn’t she? My early books were “Bécassine” or “La Semaine de Suzette.” But I did buy a series of very small books by B. Potter for my daughter – they must still be around here, and I’ll have to take a look. Your figurines are so attractive and sweet.
ReplyDeleteThese make my heart melt! I am a huge BP fan! WHat a fine and darling collection you have. Each little figurine brings back the dear stories they represent! Your display is Spring magnified!!!!
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the movie "Potter" (not Harry). It is a charming story about Beatirx's life.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful collection.
Happy and blessed Easter!

I have only one little Peter Rabbit figurine and I adore him as I do the stories of BP. When I sold all my things before my move to France, he got hidden away in my "box to keep". I just couldn't part with him or my books. Of course, he's still in that box and not with me which will have to be remedied. Love your collection. Wow! Where do you keep all that when it's not out for the holiday?
ReplyDeleteYep! Still here adoring your Beatrix Potter collection - they're just too precious! I do appreciate you sharing with Home and Garden Thursday,
ReplyDeleteKathy
