SURE SIGNS OF SPRING

Beautiful Blooms

If you haven't been thinking of spring you only have to visit one of my very favorite shops to walk in and feel like spring has sprung! Anthropologie is in full bloom and will certainly give you a good dose of spring fever. Blooms cover everything, just take a look and enjoy the flower show. I love this place!

What's blooming now

Looking no further than my own backyard I see early signs of spring. In the past two weeks we've had cold days, warm balmy days and a lot of rain. Even though we will have more cold weather I now see spring at the end of winter's long dark tunnel.

Falconet daffodils still blooming

Tete-a-Tete (miniature daffodil narcissus)

Pansies

Day Lilies are coming out

Blooming ground covers

Mexican Heather

Verbena

What I'm most excited about are the buds on the climbing rose!

  1. Definitely in spring fever mode today. It attended a garden dedication today for a sweet friend I lost to cancer. It was a perfect morning!
And just now have returned from Anthro. Love all the spring inspiration there. The yellow vase with purple flower was in my hand, selected as a birthday gift for a friend, but as I walked to the checkout, I spied the candles in the ceramic pots topped with beautiful ceramic flowers. The one topped with a poppy is now the birthday gift. Love that store!!!
    Enjoy the day..........Sarah

  4. Thanks for taking us shopping. I'm soo ready for Spring. Your garden looks ahead of mine a little bit. Some of my plants had started budding until the other day when we had that cold snap, but some of my ground covers are blooming though. Thanks for sending flowers in your post. I love fragrant soaps, and just reminded myself to look for some the next time I go shopping. Hugs, and happy Sunday.

  8. How lovely all of this is. That shop must be lots of fun -- beautiful and different merchandise -- definitely not the cookie-cutter kind of store. And your spring is going to be wonderful!!

  17. What beautiful stuff Anthropologie has. We don't have one nearby so the temptation can be withstood. I loved the coloured books, and those sweet wrapped soaps.
Your garden is coming along well - far ahead of ours.

  18. The Anthropologie flower pieces are gorgeous, Emily, but your early blooming flowers are even prettier! It will be awhile before I see flowers here--we had a foot of snow today! :)

  26. Hello sweet Emily.
Your photographs are always so full of life, but today's are simply bursting with it. LOVE the colors! My favorite is the rose fence. Oh my goodness!! It's dreamy.
From Anthropologie I'd purchase one of the candles, a few of those beautiful soaps, and I know I would probably not be able to resist Wuthering Heights wearing that gorgeous floral jacket. :)
Thank you for stopping by and visiting especially since I'm taking a little posting break. I'll probably be back next week. HUGS TO YOU, my friend.
    MUAH!

  27. I used to (get spring fever at the first signs of it) when we lived in Oregon...now this time of year I start to get envious of the beautiful early spring flowers... on blogs and when I talk to family and friends back home. (We're in Florida during the winters now and the downside of no winter weather is no spring -- at least not the kind you have!) It's worth the tradeoff at my age, but I still miss those daffodils ;>)

  29. Hi Emily! Although in my country we don't experience spring, I love seeing items and pictures of other countries as they go to this transition. Spring for me always means colors and new beginnings.

I love the classical books, colorful pouches and the flower vases of course.

Thank you for linking up in my very shy Beautiful Sunday series. Hope to see you there more often :)

    Have a great week!

  30. Yes I have gardening fever. We cut back nearly everything in February and have had trouble getting to them in this terrible rain. A vole or mole ate all my daffs. Next time I will lay down mesh. Your daffs are beautiful.

Our springs aren't very nice with lots of wind and sand blowing...not my fav. season, at all. I do love summer, tho. :)

  35. Spring fever? Absolutely! Even here in CA where people think we have an eternal spring. But, the trees are beginning to flower and it's lovely here! I love all of your florals on everything. The books were my favorites but I could also almost smell those soaps. Time to go to my favorite French store and get some more verbena soap!
