Valentine Cards
Cherub Holy Water Font St. Peter's Basilica
I must confess, I am charmed, smitten, besotted, entranced, or simply said, in love with Cupid! Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays. I pull out vintage valentines, add daffodils, tulips, and hyacinths throughout the house. I look forward to putting pen to paper and writing notes and sending cards to family and friends. Here are a few of the ways I add a little "Amour" to my home.
Romancing the home with Cherubs
A cold rainy afternoon is the perfect time to have a cup of coffee and treat, two French pecan pies.

Love the french bed linens! Gorgeous. xo
ReplyDeleteLove the music as usual, love all the splendid Valentine's, but I am beyond jealous of your picnic in Rome. Sigh... ;) Living in Italy is a lifelong dream of mine. Love that photograph.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the anniversary wishes, my friend. The concert was beyond spectacular. It was truly a magical evening. We spoke of how many times we had planned to see Pavarotti and missed out. That must have been so special for you. We decided to start enjoying such events again. Date night is typically dinner out on Fridays, and it's wonderful too, but we've missed the arts.
Happy Valentine's
XOXO's
Ooh, love the french bed linens! Happy Valentine's Day.

ReplyDeleteSo many delightful Valentine elements! Of course, my heart went pitter pat when I saw your faience flour de lis vase. Gorgeous! Let me know if you'd like to do a Tables for Two with me some day. I have a bit of faience, although nothing as wonderful as yours. Thanks for inviting us for a peak.
ReplyDeleteOh how sweet! What a wonderful collection of Valentines and Cupids!! Love must rule in your home! I'm so happy to have you join me for my party this week! So nice to have you.

ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect post to see in the early morning on Valentine's Day! I love little cupids, too, and that that heart shaped piece of Quimper is amazing - I have never seen another like it. Hope you have a wonderful day today!
ReplyDeleteHi Emily, Your cupid music made me laugh and now I will be happy all day! This is a very clever and beautiful post! So many goodies to examine. Did you love Rome? That is such a cute picture of you and your honey. Happy Valentine's Day! Linda
ReplyDeleteAll your cupids are darling, especially the one in a cloche. I adore old keys and the red ribbon sets these off wonderfully. Such lovely touches everywhere, you have such an eye for making your home beautiful.

What a fun, pretty and informational Valentine's Day post Emily! Love the cupids and all the special romantic touches! Thank you so much for keeping us in your prayers. It means the world to us! happy Valentines Day!
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day, my sweet, thoughtful friend!!! I got the sweetest Valentine Card in the mail from Tuscaloosa. ;P I LOVE IT!!!! You're the *best*
ReplyDeleteLOVE this post. I can remember throwing in one coin in the Trevi Fountain which means I'll return to Rome one day, right?!?!? I didn't throw two in to get married....I hope I haven't messed the number up, but in college I was more interested in returning to Rome than marriage, LOL (don't tell Trip)...
I love your little Valentines....they are so sweet. Such pretty vignettes! I didn't decorate much for Valentine's Day. I actually did more for Mardi Gras, and I hate it when they are close together like this year. ):
I took all the Mardi Gras stuff down today and decorated for a snow day. It's supposed to snow on Saturday, plus the Birmingham Ski Club is going to utah Saturday. :D
I hope you treat Mr. French well tonight!
xo,
RJ
