THE THINGS WE DID THIS SUMMER

SAYING GOODBYE TO SUMMER

The thing we did most this summer was make several trips to the beach, we love it here. So, naturally we wanted one more trip to celebrate the official end of summer. While summer does not end officially until September 22,  the start of the school year signals the beginning of fall.
Yellow flags flying is a warning of caution. This is the weekend before Isaac! Such a beautiful weekend, the calm before the storm if you will.

  2. Happy Pinks, Emily! Connor is cute as a button! Your photos are beautiful, especially of the sunset! We were hoping to go to the beach today but it is too windy. So, I went thrifting instead. Got more teacups! Have a wonderful long weekend.

    God Bless you....
Oh.. and dont forget to check out the Blue Moon
A blue moon is full moon that occurs as the second full moon in a given month. Blue moons are not typically blue in color — that happens only, well, once in a blue moon, but there is the possibility for a hint of blue in any full moon

  18. Hi Emily, Your beach and sunset shots are wonderful and that little cutie is absolutely ADORABLE!!! We get ready for the fall every year by traveling to the far reaches of New Hampshire where there is a nip in the air and evening temps are easily in the 40s or lower! I'm going to put up some photos of it next week if I ever get a chance. I hope Connor enjoys his new year of school. Linda

  22. Hi Emily,

I LOVE your pictures!! The sunset pics are some of the prettiest I've ever seen. We spent most of our summer having our kitchen remodeled so we missed our annual trip to the beach in May. However, we're hoping to go sometime later this month.

Your grandson is so cute. :) Thanks for sharing and Happy Seasonal Sunday.

  55. Hi Emily,
What a wonderful summer you had. We don't live by a beach, so it's usually the mountains for us. Hubby and I love to hike, but because of my knee surgery have not been able to this summer. Soon we will take a ride up the canyon to enjoy all of the beautiful leaves. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
    Hugs,

  56. How very lovely. How to say goodbye to summer - I think we spend the day in our garden clearing away, bar-b-que and sit by the fire pit looking at the stars. I look forward to autumn, but there is a bittersweet moment when we do say goodbye to a season - lovely, thought-provoking post! I appreciate you sharing with Home and Garden Thursday,
    Kathy
