With the weatherman forecasting a beautiful November weekend Jim and I decided to drive down to the panhandle of Florida for a long weekend. Our three year old grandson was playing his last soccer game of the season and all of my favorite haunts were decked out for the holidays. We packed a few things and were out the door early Thursday morning. It's about a six hour drive, so with an early departure there is plenty of time to take in a few of my favorite shopping destinations along the way.
Saturday was all about the last soccer game of the season for my grandson. We watched the game and went to the end of season celebration where all the little team members received a trophy and ate cake. If you've ever watched three and four year olds play a game of soccer you know what a treat it is to watch.
Hope you enjoy the shopping, I found several gifts to put under my tree.

What a great weekend to be in Florida. It was bright and sunny, with cool mornings and hot afternoons. This is the place I love to visit for great seafood. We also happened upon a beautiful sunset. The sea was calm, the colors amazing. The sun set so fast we almost missed it.

We went to Dallas to see our grandsons soccer games. After our 5 year old scored 9 goals in the first half, the coaches pulled him out of the game. He cried the rest of the game! Such fun times. So many treasures/temptations on your shopping trip. Thank you for taking us along for a peak at all the eye candy. Cherry Kay

Oh, man....I am trying SO hard to stay OUT of the stores, but you are steadily pushing me out there into them with posts like this!!! :-) I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't do anything Christmas-related until after Thanksgiving, but it's getting harder and harder! Glad you guys enjoyed yourselves and your grandson's soccer game. I know he was glad to see you there! They are so especially cute at that age. Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Emily, I am a little envious that you spent the weekend at the beach. Looks like you made a trip to Seaside for some shopping. Even though we sold our beach house a few months ago we will still be visiting our son and his family in the Panhandle. Thanks for linking to my party and I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
