Snow in February

I live in the South and we so seldom wake up to two and half inches of the white stuff. We always get so excited at the weather man's first hint of snow in his forecast and hope he gets it right (most of the time we get the forecast but, with no snow). This time they got it right, and right on time. It started about 7PM, and we woke up with a winter wonderland. Jim and I started to make pictures with the first flakes that evening  and I grabbed my camera as soon as the sun was up the next morning. I've been reading about all the blizzards across the country from my blogging friends and I'm so excited to share some snow pictures.

Dosen't look like much unless your a Southern Girl

Our Christmas Tree had lights for the first time this year and Jim hasn't gotten around to taking them down, we just turned them on and it looks like my dream of a White Christmas Eve come true

New Christmas Trees planted last year after after they decorated my kitchen

They'll be beautiful in how many years?

My Angel looks Beautiful in the Snow feeding the little animals

I feel this is it for this winter, after the 18 degree temperatures that brought our snow last week, our weekend temperatures reached almost 70 degrees. I've sent my Valentine's Day Greeting with some of my favorite snow pictures. Hope you all had a great day!

Happy Valentine's Day from The French Hutch

  3. Emily, snow does look beautiful, but it certainly does leave a mess in the garden. LOL I'm working long hours to clean up after Old Man Winter.
But I have irises, hyacinths, and daffodils blooming, so life is good. ~ sarah
